In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, Paul teaches that love is self-restraint and self-denial to last long enough to support and serve the growth of others. Love grieves and covers its ears when unfriendly mouths pour out hatred on others. Love rejoices to open its mouth and heap up friendly praises upon others. Love has a good attitude toward other people, especially the people of God. Love is Friendly.
