Keep Your Hands to the Plow
This was a message preached before ministers and elders for the Friday morning devotion at the RPCNA’s Pacific Coast Presbytery, convened at the Reformed Presbyterian Church Los Angeles October 16-17, 2014. The pastor and elders of PECA were guests (and we were petitioning the Presbytery to be yoked with them in the RPCNA: our petition was later declined at the following May Presbytery).
In Galatians 6:9, Paul calls you to never give up on serving Christ’s Church, because you will enjoy spiritual harvests. Keep planting and watering the seeds of Christ’s Church, even though it exhausts you. Keep in mind that you are not working in the fields by yourself. Keep trusting you will be rewarded seasonally, and most handsomely at the Final Harvest! Keep Your Hands to the Plow.
