After Jesus warns not to be misguided along the path of destruction by false prophets, He especially warns against being misguided by your own false profession that gives you a false peace.

Beware of talking the talk but not walking the walk. If you are not walking the walk you are going the wrong way. You can deceive yourself into thinking you’re going the right way. Beware of Flattering Yourselves.
