In contrast to the Jewish Pharisees’ public pride, Jesus proved He is the Messiah by offering private pity to the Gentiles as living out Isaiah 42:1-4, the first of the prophet’s four Messianic “Servant of the Lord” passages. May Our Ministry be Pitiful and Private.
