From Where Temptation Comes

We begin a casual study of Thomas Watson’s study of the Sixth Petition of the Lord’s Prayer (“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”) in his book, The Lord’s Prayer. Tonight we learn that God does not tempt us, but we tempt ourselves from with our own lusts and Satan temps our old man within from without. Thus we are in great danger and in much need of praying this petition regularly!
