We continue with our tenth lecture through our devotion based on Thomas Watson’s book, The Art of Divine Contentment. Tonight’s lesson continues chapter 11, “Divine Motives to Contentment”. This long chapter will be covered for a number of weeks in parts: tonight, we looked at Watson’s motives 2-5: 2: “A Christian hath that which may make him content.”; 3: “Be content, for else we confute our own prayers.”; 4: “Because now God hath his end, and Satan misseth his end.”; 5: “By contentment a Christian gains a victory over himself.”
