We continue with our fourteenth lecture through our devotion based on Thomas Watson’s book, The Art of Divine Contentment. Tonight’s lesson studied chapters 12 and 13, “Three things inserted by way of Caution (A Christian must NOT be contented in a natural estate, in such a condition wherein God is apparently dishonored, nor with little grace)”; and, “Showing how a Christian may know whether he hath learned this Divine Art (a contented spirit is a silent, cheerful, and thankful spirit in which no condition comes amiss to him, and to rid himself out of trouble, he will not turn himself into sin).”
