We continue with our eighth lecture through our devotion based on Thomas Watson’s book, The Art of Divine Contentment. Tonight’s lesson continued and completed chapter 10, “Use III: A Suasive to Contentment”. This long chapter was covered for a number of weeks in parts: tonight, we looked at Watson’s last three answers (10-12) to apologies (or arguments) some Christians give against contentment and to justify discontentment: 10: “[My] lowness of parts and gifts”; 11: “The troubles of the church”; 12: “My sins that do disquiet and discontent me”.
