God’s laws of restitution based on degrees of seriousness are to protect and ensure a peaceful society. To keep the peace, you have a responsibility to restore the loss you cause others. The elders of the church and the rulers of the land must oversee just restitution. When satisfactory payment is made, peace is established and preserved. Be at Peace with God.
