At the end of forty days on Mount Sinai with Moses, God prints covenant receipts in stone as an eternal witness to His kingly rule over His purchased people who agreed to His peace treaty sealed in blood. (Much attention is given to the Tables of “Testimony” as each being one full copy of like the Near Eastern suzerain peace treaties of other nations of their time — not half of the Ten Commandments on each stone, but duplicate copies of the one full document (including preamble and historic prologue) on each — one for God and one for the people as their printed contract of their “marriage vows”.
