We look at the third thing Thomas Watson teaches us we pray for specially in “But Deliver Us from Evil” in the sixth petition of the Lord’s Prayer: “…we pray to be delivered from the evil of the world.” We study the first five of seven things about the world Watson lists to be delivered from: 1) It is a defiling world; 2) It is an ensnaring world; 3) It is a discouraging world; 4) It is a deadening world; 5) it is a maligning world.
