Emphasize His Resurrection

Preached on December 25 (which fell on the Lord’s Day), this sermon addresses the unscriptural emphasis on Christ’s birth with an unprescribed, unholy liturgical Christ-Mass Day which effectively eclipses the weekly Holy Day that is the Lord’s Day intended for Christians to celebrate the Resurrection 52 days a year making each week a season of thankful holiness.

Peter says the apostles must appoint a replacement for Judas before they begin their public apostolic ministry; that man must be an eyewitness and preacher of Christ’s public ministry, especially His resurrection (but beginning at John’s baptism with no mention of His birth).

The emphasis of Christianity is not Christ’s birth. The emphasis of Christianity is Christ’s resurrection. Christ’s resurrection is your only hope. Emphasize Christ’s Resurrection.
