King Jesus says in the First Beatitude that it is good to reject yourself as no earthly good so you can receive His heavenly goodness.

How happy are you who have Christ and His Kingdom. How happy are you who know you need to have Christ and His Kingdom. Happy is He Who Cries, “Woe is Me!”
