Rocks of Support, Temptation 1

Tonight we begin the next section of Thomas Watson’s study of the sixth petition of the Lord’s Prayer (from his book by that title) that begins to offer “rocks of support” as “comfort for tempted souls”. Rocks 1-3 are covered this evening: 1) It is not our case alone but that of God’s most eminent saints; 2) Temptations (where they are burdens) are evidence of grace; and 3) Jesus Christ is near at hand to sympathize with us and succor us (run speedily to our help) in temptation.
