We look at this one time El Roi (God Who Sees Me) is given as a name for God and consider the context of Hagar being surprised to be seen while she, Sarai, and Abram all seem to try and hide their proud presuming upon God. There is a positive aspect to consider for God’s covenant people and that He is watching and watching over us wherever we are to return us to serving His providential plan.
