We begin the last third of the Book of Exodus, all dedicated to the Tabernacle. This was an introductory sermon to the section considering the “pattern” shown to Moses according to the heavenly reality, with the Westminster Confession of Faith 19:3 helping us understand the typical nature of the shadow of the tabernacle prefiguring heaven, Christ, and His Church. God shows Moses a glimpse of heaven to replicate on earth where He will dwell with His people. The tabernacle is where God fellowships with His people on earth. The tabernacle is where you see and experience God’s beautiful holiness. The tabernacle is where you worship and serve God because you really want to. Desire to be in the true heavenly tabernacle.
