Focus on Christ’s Ascension
Preached on December 25 (which fell on the Lord’s Day), this sermon continues from the morning sermon (“Emphasize Christ’s Resurrection”) in addressing the unscriptural emphasis on Christ’s birth with an unprescribed, unholy liturgical Christ-Mass Day that focuses on Christ in a manger when He should be focused on for Who and Where He is and what He is presently doing as the ascended, exalted, King of Glory sitting on His throne in heaven.
In Acts 1:9-11, As the disciples watch Jesus’ glorious ascent into heaven, the angels say to anticipate His return the same way.
King Jesus went up to heaven in a glorious procession to rule at God’s right hand. Keep looking for King Jesus to come back and finish His glorious earthly subjugation (conquest). Focus on Christ’s Ascension.
